Care for Rabbits

Our team can help keep your pet rabbit healthy and happy.

Services include:

  • Wellness check-ups and vaccinations - Pet rabbits should be seen at least once a year for a wellness checkup.   We can help diagnose and treat external and internal parasites such as fleas and worms.    We can also screen your pet for infectious diseases such as Pasteurella and E. Cuniculi.

  • Neutering - unneutered females are at high risk of developing uterine cancer, and unneutered rabbits are more likely to fight. You should neuter your rabbit unless you intend to breed them, and have plans in place to care for both parents and offspring.

  • Dental and nail care.  Teeth and nails grow quickly.  We can help correct overgrown or misaligned teeth, and keep nails in good condition.

  • Other care.  Some other common conditions we can treat your pet rabbit for are GI stasis, arthritis and heat stroke.

Rabbits are vulnerable to infectious diseases and illnesses, especially dental disease.  Be sure to monitor their health regularly, especially changes in behavior or any staining or signs of disease on their fur or skin.
